Meet Francesco Gravina

Before preserving memories, you need to live them.

My name is Francesco Gravina, I’m an Italian wedding photographer working in Italy and worldwide as a destination wedding photographer.
I tell real stories, honestly and naturally – without forcing moments, without unnecessary posing, without interrupting what truly matters. My approach is documentary and unobtrusive, with an editorial eye for couple who also appreciate elegant, timeless portraits.

My Approach to Wedding Photography

I believe a wedding is not a performance, but an experience meant to be fully lived.

That’s why I work quietly, observing, anticipating, and allowing emotions to unfold naturally — focusing on gestures, connections and moments that happen only once.

Over the years, I’ve photographed weddings throughout Italy and abroad, working with couples who choose to get married far from home and need a photographer they can fully trust — someone experienced, adaptable, and sensitive to different cultures, rhythms and environments.

In Puglia, where I live and work, I have told stories like Camille and Philipp’s three-day wedding at Masseria Montenapoleone, Sara and Stilianos at Masseria Don Luigi and a three-day Indian wedding at Borgo Egnazia. If you are just starting to plan, my guide to a destination wedding in Italy is a good place to begin.

My work is for couples who:

– value time and meaningful experiences;
– want authentic images, not trends;
– wish to relive their wedding day with the same intensity, even years later.

If you imagine your wedding photographs as an honest, elegant and deeply human story, we’re probably on the same wavelength – from the firts conversation.

My style is documentary and natural.

I focus on real moments, genuine emotions and spontaneous interactions, without directing or interrupting the flow of the day.

For couples who wish, I also include editorial-style portraits — elegant, relaxed and timeless — always respecting the rhythm of the wedding.

I’m based in Italy, but I regularly photograph destination weddings all over the world.

Many of my couples plan their wedding from abroad and choose me for my experience working remotely, my reliability, and my ability to adapt to different cultures and locations.

All collections always include two photographers: myself and another professional photographer from my team.

This allows us to document the day more completely, capturing different moments and perspectives without missing anything important.

I work in a discreet and respectful way.

I don’t interrupt moments or force situations — I prefer to observe and document what naturally happens.

Most couples tell me afterward that they felt completely comfortable and barely noticed the camera during the day.

Yes.

Many couples choose to add an extra day of coverage to tell the full story of their experience — welcome dinners, pool parties, relaxed time together or pre-wedding moments.

It’s one of the best ways to create a more complete and meaningful narrative.

Coverage is tailored to your wedding and discussed together.

The goal is not to count hours, but to tell the story properly, from beginning to end, in a natural and coherent way.

The core of my work is the delivery of high-quality digital images, carefully edited and curated.

For couples who wish, I also offer handcrafted albums and fine art boxes, designed as lasting, meaningful objects — not just photo books.

Delivery times are clearly explained in the proposal.

For couples who prefer a quicker turnaround, a fast delivery option is also available

The final selection is an essential part of my work.

Each image is carefully chosen to create a strong, emotional and coherent story, preserving rhythm and authenticity

Simply fill out the contact form, sharing your wedding date, location and a few details about your plans.

I’ll personally reply with availability and all the necessary information.

Most likely, yes.

This is exactly what many of my couples tell me before booking.

My work is for those who want to live their wedding day, not stage it.

Fotogravina in New York

I’ll be in New York from 27 March to 4 April 2027 with a few dates open for couple sessions, surprise proposals, engagement shoots and portraits — from Central Park and DUMBO to the streets and rooftops of Manhattan.

Same documentary, editorial eye I bring to weddings in Italy. Only a handful of sessions are available.
